You don't want or need points added to your driving record and you definitely don't need the additional insurance expense that goes along with being labeled a high risk driver. But if you are faced with dealing with a traffic offense you need the legal team at Tad Nelson and Associates. If you receive a traffic ticket in Galveston County, your case will be under the jurisdiction of either the Municipal or Justice of the Peace (JP) Courts. In order to properly fight your ticket, the legal team at Tad Nelson and Associates, upon retention, will work with the prosecuting authority in order to get you deferred adjudication or a complete dismissal. If this avenue is not possible, then we will file an appeal bond with the JP or Municipal court that will automatically move your case up to a County Court. Upon filing the appeal bond, it may take up to two weeks to process, and then it may take up to four months for the County Court to schedule a court date for your case. However, once your case is finally put on the docket in the County Court we are following a course that will have a FINAL result of your driving record remaining clean.

Mr. Nelson and his legal team will then appear in County Court on your behalf, and the result will be that you will receive either Deferred Adjudication or your case will be dismissed.

If you receive deferred adjudication your punishment will not result in a negative change in your driving record. This sentence will definitely be less than 30 days, but is usually an instant deferred with no restrictive period. Although most municipal and justice courts require attendance and successful completion of defensive driving courses, we are usually able to avoid any of these additional nuisance penalties. With either dismissal or a deferred sentence, you will not have the ticket reflected on your driving record.

This is very important if you have received a traffic ticket in the past 12 months. The State of Texas stipulates that, if an individual receives three traffic tickets within a 12-month period anywhere in the state, than they are subject to an Administrative License Removal. This ALR hearing is similar in nature to the ALR hearing in a DWI case, in that you will need to appear before a judge to defend your right to drive. If you have prior tickets on your record, the suspension could last for a period up to two years in length. If you are a minor, the State of Texas has the option to suspend your license until you are 21 years of age, if necessary.

Tad Nelson has defended thousands of traffic tickets, including ALR hearings, with truly exceptional results. Mr. Nelson limits his TRAFFIC TICKET defense exclusively to GALVESTON COUNTY and WEBSTER MUNICIPAL. If you have received a traffic ticket in Galveston County, call the legal team at Tad Nelson and Associates at 1-888-765-5614 or 281-316-9201 today to talk with someone about keeping your driving record clean.

Unfortunately, Mr. Nelson does not handle traffic offenses in Houston or the surrounding areas. If you have a traffic ticket in Houston or anywhere else close to Harris County we recommend you check the website of Robert Eustler.
